which does emphasise the "of sorts" in my self-label of "historian of 
analytic philosophy, of sorts", with a vengeance!

Indeed, what Popper wrote was "Conjectures" "... and Refutations" -- I 
should have realised that Popperian ´proof´ is an oxymoron!

Will get back to D. F.´s other interesting points, e.g. on the weaker, 
non factive, ¨deriving", as I digest things.
